Woodlands Long Day Care & Kindergarten is open for operation on weekdays (Monday-Friday) excluding weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
This policy details Woodlands Long Day Care & Kindergarten’s planned closures. In addition to Saturdays and Sundays, Woodlands will be closed for all National and Victorian Public Holidays.
On Public Holidays, families can expect to pay their usual gap payment if eligible for CCS if their child/ren have a permanent booking on these days. In the event where a family is not eligible to Child Care Subsidy (CCS) they can expect to pay their usual full daily fee.
To support families, Woodlands Long Day Care & Kindergarten offer a ‘Holiday Discount’ for a maximum of 4 weeks per calendar year. This request needs to be in writing via the campus email at least 2 weeks prior to the dates of absence in addition to submitting a ‘Holiday’ request on the Xplor Home App which can be reviewed and actioned by the campus leadership team.
All families are informed 2 weeks in advance in writing of any upcoming Public Holidays which result in a centre closure day via the Xplor Home App. This is communicated from the Campus Leadership team to ensure that parents/guardians are given enough time to make other care arrangements if necessary.

Dear Woodland Parents,
Please Note that WOODLANDS (campus name) will be closed on the following date: (date and name of closure). We hope you have a good rest and time with the family. Woodlands would also like to inform families that if you have a permanent booking on a public holiday we cannot provide a swap of days, the booking/bookings are subsidised by Centrelink.
